Pies may be ordered in sets of four or eight either by individual flavor or as a sampler.
We package your order in a shipping container consisting of a corrugated box lined with insulating panels of “Green Cell Foam,” a biodegradable and compostable material [www.landaal.com]. Inside is a foil-lined bag for added insulation that is packed with dry ice, reusable gel-ice packs, and the pot pies. Please handle the dry ice carefully! Do not touch it with your bare hands. Use gloves or a cloth towel to remove the dry ice. Placing it in the sink with running water will quicken its evaporation.
There are five delivery options but we highly recommend next day delivery. Though we ship our pies frozen, high ambient temperature in addition to longer delivery times, especially during summer months, will result in some defrosting of the pies. If so, the pies may be refrozen in accordance with USDA guidelines. See: (http://www.fsis.usda.gov/factsheets/focus_on_freezing/index.asp).
We ship Mondays through Wednesdays for orders placed the previous week. Orders are shipped through United Parcel Service (UPS). You will receive an email that includes a tracking number confirming that we have shipped your order.
When you receive your order, please place the pot pies in the freezer or, you may refrigerate them for up to three days before reheating.
In the event of extreme temperatures during the summer months, we may request that shipping be delayed until there is a reasonable break in the heat.
Please note that UPS does not guarantee next day delivery for perishable goods. Please contact us in the event of a delay in delivery.
